Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about how Pinhub works, what's included in each plan, and how to collect feedback without the back-and-forth.

What is Pinhub?

Pinhub is a visual feedback tool for screenshots, designs, and website mockups. You upload an image, drop a pin on the exact spot you want to talk about, and leave a comment there. Each pin becomes its own threaded conversation, so feedback stays tied to a precise place on the screen instead of getting lost in email or chat.

How does Pinhub work?

Upload a screenshot, click anywhere on it to drop a numbered pin, and write your comment. Share a single link with teammates or clients, who can reply on each pin. As issues get addressed you mark threads resolved and track what's still open — so a review goes from scattered notes to one clear, finished checklist.

Do reviewers or clients need an account to leave feedback?

No. Anyone you share a Pinhub link with can view the screenshot and comment as a guest — no sign-up and no app to install. Guests always review for free and never count toward your plan, and a guest's email is never shown publicly. Only the person creating and organizing screenshots needs an account.

What can I collect feedback on?

Anything you can capture as an image: website and app screenshots, UI and product designs, mockups, banners, slides, or photos. You upload the image to Pinhub and reviewers pin their comments directly onto it at the exact spot they're referring to.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Pinhub's Free plan costs $0 forever, with no credit card required. It includes one member, up to three active screenshots, unlimited guest reviewers, and public share links — enough for solo, low-volume feedback. You can upgrade to Pro or Team whenever you need more.

What's included in Pro?

Pro is $19 per month (or $180 billed yearly) and includes everything in Free plus up to 3 members (you and up to 2 teammates), unlimited active screenshots, revisions with full version history, design import from Figma, password-protected share links, folders to organize your screenshots, and AI feedback summaries that turn a screenshot's open comments into a short action checklist. Guests always review for free and never count toward your 3 members.

What is the Team plan?

Team is for larger groups that have outgrown Pro's 3 members. It's $39 per month and includes everything in Pro plus multiple admins, in flat capacity tiers — up to 10, 20, or 50 members — at one price per tier, with no per-seat fees. Guests still review for free and never count toward the limit.

Is Pinhub good for agencies and client feedback?

Yes — collecting clear feedback and approvals from clients is one of the most common ways teams use Pinhub. Because clients comment through a single link without creating an account, there is no friction: you send the link, they pin exactly what they want changed, and you resolve each point. Folders and password-protected shares on Pro help keep different clients' work separate and private.

How is Pinhub different from feedback over email, Slack, or screenshots?

With email, Slack, or marked-up screenshots, comments get separated from the thing they describe — you are left guessing "which button?" and scrolling to find context. In Pinhub every comment is anchored to a precise point on the image and lives in its own thread, so feedback is unambiguous, stays organized, and can be tracked to resolution in one place.

Can I password-protect a share link?

Yes, on the Pro and Team plans. You can lock a sensitive share link behind a password, and revoke any link in one click at any time — which immediately stops every copy of that link from working.

What is the AI feedback summary?

On paid plans, Pinhub can summarize a screenshot's open comments into a short, ordered action checklist using AI, so you can see what needs to change at a glance instead of reading every thread. It is optional and runs only when you ask for it. Generating a summary sends the open comments to a third-party AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Is my data secure, and where is it hosted?

Pinhub is served over HTTPS and hosted on Cloudflare and Render. Sign-in is passwordless — we email you a magic link instead of storing passwords. Screenshots are private by default: they are visible only to your workspace and to anyone you choose to share a link with, and you can revoke any share link instantly. We don't sell your data, and full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What languages does Pinhub support?

Pinhub's interface is available in several languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Russian, and it picks your language automatically based on your browser. You and your reviewers can write comments in any language.

Can I upload new versions of a screenshot?

Yes, on the Pro and Team plans. When a design changes, upload a new version of the same screenshot instead of starting over. Your open pins carry forward to the new version automatically, so feedback follows the work, and every earlier version stays in the screenshot's history.

Can I import designs straight from Figma?

Yes, on the Pro and Team plans. Connect your Figma account once, then paste a Figma frame link and Pinhub imports it as a screenshot you can pin and share — no exporting PNGs by hand. The import brings in a snapshot of the frame as it looks at that moment.

Can I collect structured feedback with forms or polls?

Yes, on the Pro and Team plans. Alongside pinned feedback on screenshots, you can build a form with eight question types — short and long text, dropdowns, single-choice, multi-select, rating scales, dates, and times — or a quick single-question poll. Publish a public link, optionally protected with a password, and anyone can answer without an account. Responses come back as per-question charts and a full table you can export to CSV, and you're notified in Pinhub the moment each one arrives.

Do people need an account to answer a form or poll?

No. Just like sharing a screenshot for review, you share one link and anyone can respond — no sign-up and nothing to install. You can optionally collect a respondent's name, show them the results, set a closing date, cap the total number of responses, or limit responses to one per device. Polls are a single question you can publish in seconds; forms can be as long as you need.

Can I annotate a screenshot online without installing anything?

Yes. Pinhub runs entirely in your browser — upload or paste a screenshot, click to drop a pin, and type your comment right where it matters. There's nothing to install for you or your reviewers, and you can share the annotated screenshot with a single link.

How do I collect client feedback on a website?

Capture the page as a screenshot — upload an image, paste from your clipboard, capture a public URL, or grab the live page with the Chrome extension — then share one Pinhub link with your client. They pin their feedback on the exact spots without creating an account, and you resolve each point as you go.

Can I review Figma designs and give feedback on them?

Yes, on the Pro and Team plans. Connect your Figma account once, paste a frame link, and Pinhub imports it as a screenshot you can pin, discuss, and share for review — so stakeholders comment on the design without a Figma seat or an account of their own.

What is a collection?

A collection bundles screenshots you've already uploaded into one shareable review link. Reviewers tab through each version and leave pinned feedback on every one — handy for design versions, a full flow, or any set of screens meant to be reviewed together. There's no winner or vote; it's a feedback bundle for more than one asset.

Do collections cost extra?

No — collections are free on every plan, including Free. Pro and Team add unlimited screenshots, so your collections can hold more versions, plus password-protected review links for sensitive work.
